Dwarf Purple Isopods are the smallest isopods available with adults reaching a maximum length of 1/8”. These smooth, hard bodied, isopods will spend most of their time below or at the surface of the soil and will reproduce quickly once established in your setup. Their tough exterior allows them to easily burrow into the soil which will help with compaction and aerating the soil itself. Adult Dwarf Purple isopods have a grayish purple coloration but juveniles will occasionally display a light brown color just after molting or before maturity.
